Cosmetic Treatment for Brides and Grooms
Wedding season is just around the corner here in New York! Cosmetic surgery may not be an option if your big day is coming up shortly, but there’s still plenty of time to elect non-invasive cosmetic treatment to help you look your best.
Here are some of the options on the table for both brides and grooms:
Double Chin Treatment
We are very pleased to offer one of the most effective non-invasive confidence boosting treatments we’ve seen in a while: Kybella. Approved by the FDA last year, Kybella reduces double chins by destroying droopy fat pads. The product contains deoxycholic acid, a natural substance that assists the body in metabolizing dietary fat.
We inject small amounts of Kybella under the chin after administering a local anesthetic. Although mild to moderate swelling occurs for many patients, in three or four weeks most will be gone. You should note a visible difference in six weeks, just in time for your big day.
Wrinkle Smoothing
Grooms as well as brides often elect treatment with Botox or Dysport so they can look refreshed and worry-free for the marriage festivities and for the all-important wedding photos. These injectables help conquer the folds of skin known as “dynamic wrinkles” made by repeated muscle action. You may choose treatment for horizontal forehead lines, vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows and/or crow’s feet.
For other types of wrinkles, such as the “parentheses” between the nose and mouth, your best option may be a dermal filler such as Restylane or Juvederm. We can help you understand all the choices and make decisions that take into account your budget and timeframe. Injectables usually require little to no downtime.
Skin Rejuvenation
If your facial skin looks dull and tired, you may want to brighten it up with a rejuvenation strategy we’ll design just for you. Depending on your unique needs—uneven skin tone, acne scars, fine lines and/or dead cell accumulation—we’ll recommend dermabrasion, a chemical peel or a combination. The goal is to target problem areas very specifically with the most effective treatment.
When you come in for a consultation, we’ll discuss our proposed approach in detail and let you know about recovery time. Most people can be wedding-ready a couple of weeks following treatment.
Minimizing Sweating
Excessive perspiration, known medically as hyperhidrosis, affects just a fraction of the population. But if you happen to be one of those men or women, the last day you want to worry about it is the day you get married. Fortunately, we have a great deal of experience and several options to offer patients here in New York. Cosmetic surgery is one possibility—a relatively straightforward procedure we call “sweat lipo.” This is an option that requires just a short recovery, and you should see reduced perspiration in just a few days.
Another choice for you may include Botox injections to block sweat production for a period of time. We may even be able to prescribe a stronger antiperspirant than you have already tried, or water bath treatment (especially if your hands and feet are affected).
Much has been made in the media in recent times about cosmetic surgery for weddings, but there are many less invasive options available for both husbands- and wives-to-be. We know you want to look your best, but we also understand the demands on both your time and budget. We can discuss a variety of effective treatments–call us! 212-570-6080.
